Garcia comes to CSE from Seton Hall University where he was a volunteer assistant coach for one year on the women's side. Garcia was an assistant for Rick Stainton, who was recently hired to lead the women's soccer program at CSE. The year prior, Garcia was a volunteer assistant on the men's side at Seton Hall, where he helped with video game analysis and helped plan practices and create team strategies and tactics.
Garcia will look to lead the Eagles in its first season in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) and believes he is ready for his first collegiate head coaching position. "I am very excited to have this opportunity. I am excited to develop a program that the school will be proud of. I bring a lot of hunger and ambition and I can't wait to get started."
Since 2014, Garcia has been at the helm for the Secaucus High School varsity boys soccer program. During his time at Secaucus, Garcia led the team to two sectional finals and won the NJIC Tournament for the first time in program history.
Chris Garcia has his Irish FA UEFA "B" License Part 1, Irish FA "C" Certificate, United Coaches Soccer Association Premier Diploma, and USSF "D" License. He will be completing his UEFA "B" Part 2 and USSF "C" License this year.
